Giving Back in the Yorba Linda Community

There is nothing more tragic then the loss of a loved one and the family provider. The On My Own But Not Alone Foundation, Inc., located in Yorba Linda, helps families with children by providing financial aid to help increase their quality of life dramatically during their time of need.

The On My Own But Not Alone Foundation, Inc. often helps with the cost of: Rent, Utilities, Bus Passes/Transportation, Food, Medical Expenses and Daily Living Expenses. With The OMOBNA Foundation’s love and support they can help these families overcome their feelings of hopelessness and despair.

Gail from the On My Own But Not Alone Foundation said that following donations are what they are in need of most this holiday season:

• We still have 2 more families to adopt out for Christmas
• Grocery gift cards
• One family just got hit with a 400.00 property tax
• Any donations towards car repairs
• We have 2 mother’s we are trying to get back into the work force and need gift cards to get work clothes
• Any donations towards the families electric, water, gas and phone bills
• We have one family that is without a car, she has 1 daughter 6 years old
• We can always use gift cards for something fun for the families to do to keep their spirits up-movies, Knotts, dinner gift certificates etc.
• We still need help with December’s rent for a lady who has several brain tumors, she has lost her son and husband and is alone
• Financial Donations of any amount

Yorba Linda - Holiday In Old Town Dec. 6th

Mark your calendars for this year’s Holiday in Old Town, Thursday December 6th 5:00pm to 9:00pm on Main Street.

Little ones will enjoy getting their pictures taken with Santa, Storytelling from the Yorba Linda Library and even a Tiny Tot snow play area for children 5 and under! The entire family will enjoy the live entertainment, holiday arts and crafts and even a custom car show. Enjoy the entertainment provided by the following: Final Destination Dancers, Pacific Jazz Choir, Vocal magic Carolers, ‘Ike Mo’olelo ‘O Hawaii Foundation Dance Presentation and Caroling from the local Girl Scout Troops.

There will be a shuttle bus available at Yorba Linda City Hall by the main entrance and
Yorba Linda Community Center’s South entrance. The program is being hosted by the city of Yorba Linda Parks & Recreation Dept., the Old Town Merchants Assoc. and the Yorba Linda Arts Alliance. Main Street from Imperial Highway to Lemon Drive will be closed during the event.
