Saturday, January 16th I had the honor of being a Judge for the 2010 Miss Yorba Linda. Miss Yorba Linda and Miss Yorba Linda Outstanding Teen were crowned after a daylong competition. There has not been a Miss Yorba Linda since 1981!And the winners are!!!
Congratulations to 2010 Miss Yorba Linda Sharanya Mukhopadhyay!! Sharanya has a Bachelors of Arts, World Art and Culture degree from UCLA and is currently attending National University to obtain her teaching credential. She works as a substitute teacher for PYLUSD, an entertainment News Anchor for Channel 18 (showbiz India) and teaches dance at Odissi School in USA. Her platform issue is “Bringing Health and Wellness to the Elderly and Children”

Congratulations to 2010 Miss Yorba Linda Outstanding Teen Elizabeth Luper!! Elizabeth is an Esperanza student whose platform issue is “Social and Pyschological Challenges Faced by the Elderly”
Congratulations to 2010 Miss Placentia Outstanding Teen Mikalyla Thornley and to 2010 Miss Placentia Jaime Gerhardt!! Jamie is also a Yorba Linda resident!
Other highlights of the evening:
2009 Miss America, Katie Stam, was present to watch the pageant! The girls found out during the evening competition and were thrilled when they were able to have their pictures taken with Katie! Katie is seen here with Kathy Baldwin, executive director and Jocelyn Williams, assistant executive director of the Miss Placentia/ Yorba Linda Pageant.

2009 Miss Placentia was on hand to crown the new Miss Placentia and her mother, Miss Yorba Linda 1980 was on hand to crown the New Miss Yorba Linda!
