I was evacuated and told several different stories by the police as to why I couldn't go back in on Sun. I heard the gas leak explanation too. But most of my neighbors never even left! Even when they were told it was mandatory. They knew they didn't have to leave and if they did they might not be allowed back. I agree with you. They wouldn't let my husband in to get our cat (that we couldn't find when we ran) and yet they let EVERYONE in on Sunday afternoon and then LEAVE? What was the point?? I totally agree! My parents were up at their house and my sister went to help them get all their animals and things and the cops wouldn't let her up. I cannot believe that they would not let you up to your home to get your daughter! A child for crying out loud being left to fend for herself, RIDICULOUS and SOOO...UNACCEPTABLE!!! People in Hidden Hills trying to get to their homes to save animals, memories, etc were told, "Sorry, no one is allowed up!" It's unbelievable that you would not be allowed into your own home to get the things that matter to you if there is still a home to come back to. Absolutely!!! I totally agree!
