In August of 2008 a section of horse trail was blocked by a home owner who built a wooden fence to keep out “coyotes and trespassers”

In January, a city-wide ordinance prohibiting the construction, installation or placement of structures, improvements or encroachments on, within, along or across any public or private trail easement, became effective.

During the March 17th 2009 City Council Meeting the city voted to have the fence removed by the home owner in the next 60 days.
