Freeway Complex Fire Update- Yorba Linda

In November 2008, the Freeway Complex Fire destroyed 117 Yorba Linda homes and damaged three of our Parks. As of this date, there are 94 units completed, under construction or in plan check. The latest information regarding our Community’s re-building efforts is as follows: 17 apartments are finaled 10 single family dwellings (SFD) are finaled 39 SFD under construction 20 SFD currently in plan check; 6 of which are approved 8 condo units are approved This has not always been an easy process for the residents who lost their homes. I appreciate their patience and perseverance as they commit to remaining a part of our beautiful community! Some of the homeowners have not decided whether they will rebuild. Parks: Jean Woodard Park: Repair to damaged irrigation and landscaping progressing Eastside Park: play equipment has arrived and is being installed; grading and slurry seal work underway Box Canyon Park: contractor has received play equipment and is preparing to install; drainage work and pads for gazebo are going in The much needed rains has caused some delays but we should be near completion within 5-6 weeks!
