Funeral Services for Lance Corporal Rick Centanni USMC will be held on Tuesday, April 6th at 10 am at St. Martin’s Catholic Church located at the corner of Yorba Linda Blvd and Fairmont. The services are expected to conclude at approximately 11:30 am.
The processional from the church to the Riverside National Cemetery will go from the St. Martin’s parking lot and will pass all three of his fomer schools: Fairmont Elementary, Bernardo Yorba Middle School and Esperanza High School. Public is asked to gather at the schools to honor him as he passes by.
It would be an incredible show of support if our citizens could line Yorba Linda Blvd with flags, banners of support and respect for Lance Corporal Centanni, or simply be there with your hand over your heart as the funeral procession passes by.
Please share this with all of your family and friends and try to show up on YL Blvd that day to pay your respects to this local hero and let his family know that his service and sacrifice will not be forgotten.
Information provided by Jan Horton and Yorba Linda Star. The YL Star will have the exact route tomorrow and I will republish here.

Our community lost two Great men. They were our sons, our brothers, our friends, our neighbors and our heroes. I never had the privilege to meet these men but am both honored and saddened by the loss and sacrifices they made for our country.
God Bless America and all those who serve and protect!
Our Country has lost two heroes. They knew it was dangerous and that they might not make it back. They went anyway to serve and protect those in need. It makes sense…One was a Police Officer and the other would have followed in his fathers footsteps. I didn’t have to know them to know what type of people they proved to be. My wife said this to me. “You cannot choose your birth and death, however, you can choose how to live your life.” We should live our lives to the best of our ability. They sacrificed so we could. We owe it to them. God Bless You My Brothers In Arms
I was proud of our great city for showing our great hero’s that we care and appreciate them now, and in the past, and always!
