Local legends and rumors of ghost and hauntings have been passed around for generations. Yorba Linda is home to their own ghost and local legend known as the Pink lady, who supposedly haunts the Yorba Linda Cemetery.
According to local legend the ghost of the Pink Lady pays visit to the Yorba Linda Family Cemetery on June 15th; every other even number year. The cemetery is now closed to public but at one time her legend was so popular hundreds would gather every year to try and catch a glimpse of her spooky image.
This Sunday, June 15, 2008 is the day she may be seen, if you believe. The question that will always remain is she or is she not real? And if she is, who really is the Pink Lady?
I found some really great information about The Pink Lady and the “mystical” history around her at these following sites:

The stories of the “Pink Lady” are completely false & do nothing but cause trouble for those of us who maintain the cemetery. Thanks to stories like the one above we are constantly fighting to keep vandals & “ghost hunters” at bay. If you want a true story to tell people how about saying it is the second oldest cemetery in Orange Co. & considered the oldest private cemetery in the state. It contains the remains of the early Spanish settlers & their families who contributed much to making Ca. a great state.
wow… talk a about a downer. hopefully I find something that you are interested in and make you not want to go. Just because some people don’t pick up after them selves, doesn’t always mean another random person isn’t picking the trash up.
Sorry Jeffrey, we aren’t talking about picking up trash but vandalism. Originally there were over 400 headstones in the Yorba cemetery. Thanks to vandals there are only 135 left. The origins of the Pink Lady were made up by a librarian at the Yorba Linda library. If you wish to have something to look forward to come to my cemetery tour the first Sat. of every month at 11:30 a.m.
