Help Rose Drive “Go Green to $ave Green”. Rose Drive Elementary School would like to be a model green school that can provide a positive example to all schools in our district and beyond on ways to save money and the earth which will in turn create more educational dollars to be spent on our children.
- By installing energy saving equipment such as solar panels and solar tubes (or other similar products depending on feasibility).
- By expanding our Recycling Program school wide.
- By utilizing Rainwater Collection Bins.
- By Composting.
- By building a Sustainable Garden, a Hummingbird/Butterfly Garden and a Native Garden.
- By expanding the Garden project to create a ”Healthy Meals” alternative.
- By upgrading our technology resources.
- By building computer labs.
- By creating a Student run news video production studio.
The combination of all of these projects will create a school that utilizes all of the tools of tomorrow yet remains committed to teaching and modeling the importance of preservation and conservation.
