YORBA LINDA – The deadline for young women to apply for the chance to become the first-ever “Miss Yorba Linda” is Friday.
The 2010 Miss Yorba Linda title is an addition to the Miss Placentia competition, which dates back to 1934.
The new title was added due to increasing interest in the competition, which is a preliminary to the Miss America title. The competition is open to women age 17-24, who live or work in Yorba Linda, attend a school in the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District or go to Cal State Fullerton.
Applications are currently being accepted and auditions are in November. More information is available at missyorbalinda.org or missplacentiapageant.org.
