Horse Trails in Yorba Linda

The Yorba Linda Horse Trails are a nice place to take a walk and unwind in The Land of Gracious Living.

But are we really being gracious when we have to pick up our dog’s crap when horse owners can leave road apples (horse crap) anywhere they please?

I mean seriously people, a pile of horse crap is a lot harder to step over than dog crap.

Here is a little video I made of a sign that instructs us to pick up dog crap.

I walk my dogs regularly on these trails and I ALWAYS pick up after them. I don’t think it’s right to just leave it there…..that’s disgusting. I really don’t like it when I have to walk around piles of horse poop. I often feel discriminated against because horse owners are allowed to litter the trails like that. I don’t know what the answer is, but the current situation is rather ugly and disgusting.

I don’t mind it being there, it doesn’t stink, the trails are wide enough to where its not in the way, it goes away quickly on its own and it’’s a straight up fertilizer. Dog poop on the other hand which contains meat product, does not go away quickly and stinks, it should be picked up by their owners. Its not discrimination, its common sense.
