I was evesdropping on a conversation today at the grocery store and this is what I heard….
The new high school choral director will actually be filled by the band director
Well, I think that’s just retarded. Band directors are great at what they do but that is NOT directing a choir. I was raised with a lot of music. I was in choir and I was a band geek (first chair trumpet as a freshman), but I think the choral director position should be filled by a choral teacher, not a band teacher.
Having the choir be directed by the band director will not make for an excellent choir program. This is Yorba Linda and we have a lot of parents that want to have an excellent choir program.

well your lucky that didnt happen…but we are on our 3rd choir teacher this year…1st one had arthritis…second one was a sub…3rd one is brand new
