Can anyone tell me why this “suggestion” form is not web-based? You can gather the same information via a webform that dumps to a database. It would also save $ at the school/district level since NO ONE has to enter the information into a spreadsheet.

  2. Sondra Marie says:

I completely agree Chris. I couldn’t tell you why, but my guess would be that it is because it is a government agency and it would take too long to get it done. The 2012 class might graduate by the time the form is created.

I didn’t create the form instead only scanned from the paper and then posted here.

Sorry if my comment seemed to suggest that you created it :)

I will not help with anything pertaining to this school. I have lived in Yorba Linda for 20 years, pay taxes, help in the city and now I find out that my kids will not even be able to go to this school that I have been paying for and working hard to get for all these years. It is very convenient that every map of the new school zone only includes the East side of Yorba Linda. Why don’t we split the city into two cities?

  5. Mitch says:

Considering the rapidly aging demographics of Yorba Linda, YLHS is a waste of taxpayer money and will decrease the overall quality of education and athletics available to residents of the city. What made EHS so great was the diversity of kids at the school. YLHS is simply an effort by the more affluent portions of the city to horde educational resources.

  6. Darren says:

    Dear Mitch,
I pay $11,000 a year in property taxes with one child in my home, and I’ve lost $250,000 in equity leaving me considerably upside down. But I won’t complain because those were my choices. Because my wife and I made good choices growing up, you’re right, we make more than some and not as much as others. We don’t come from wealthy families, but we have made many sacrifices in our 42 years on Earth to give ourselves and our family a leg up. When we chose to buy in an area affording a particular standard of living (with a price tag), wouldn’t it make sense for me to want the very best for my child. We don’t make excuses for having more and wanting more, it wasn’t handed to us, and because of that, please don’t try to take it or tell me to give it to someone else. Socialism has proven to be a poor model due to different levels of personal motivation, and that’s why I still live in America…for now.
