Some of you may have heard and some of you may not, but there was a brush fire in the Yorba Linda Lakebed this weekend. OC Register has the story of this weekend here -> link. Picture from OCWX
Please keep an eye out for two 14yr old kids on BMX bikes that were seen a month ago in the lakebed starting a fire. These same two boys were seen again 2x at yesterdays Lakebed fire. (It was finally put out after several helicopter dumps of water and 11 fire trucks. We had to evacuate all the horses.)
Their names are Jake & Austin, around 14 years old, riding BMX bikes, one is blonde and the other has brown curley hair. They were caught last month by a neighbor who saw they had started several piles of fire in the same area that burned yesterday. The neighbor yelled at the boys to put them out.
The one boy yelled “Jake put that fire out” and his buddy yelled ” OK, Austin” (That’s how we got there names)
I only pass along this information that was forward to us. I cannot confirm the validity of the names of the boys or if they were involved.
