Yorba Linda the Best Town for North Orange County Living?

The OC Register has a poll going in the Real Estate Section asking which town is the best town in North OC to live.

Yorba Linda is winning. If you agree that Yorba Linda is the best then leave a comment here as to why it is the best and also go to the OC Register Poll and vote to make sure we win. Click here for the poll -> OC Register Poll

Yorba Linda is great because it still has most of that small town community feel.

  1. Why? Really? Oh this is too easy…here goes:
It is a beautifully maintained city with a long history of diversity in homes and residents. An active passionate city government and a vocal following help assure what matters most to the residents is heard. Our weekly farmer’s market, our historical downtown, the horse, bike and hiking trails, the outstanding school system, enjoyable local businesses which are actually owned by locals. The key location with easy access to the 91, 71, 55, 57 etc….the glorious hills (on a smog free day). A 20 minute drive to go surfing and a 70 minute drive to snowboard. The wonderful library and our Nixon home. The numerous well maintained parks and breezeways. Little League, Pop Warner, AYSO and all the other outstanding sport organizations. Our own YMCA and Boys and Girls Club. More churches than most cities in California (per captia). And our PRIDE. Whether you have lived here since a child or a recent transplant, Yorba Lindians are HAPPY to be here. And that is only some of the reasons why I think Yorba Linda is a great place to live. Is it perfect? No, of course not…but it is perfect FOR ME.

I have to say that I agree. My parents bought a house here in the late 70′s and I have lived here all my life. I’m currently renting a condo in Yorba Linda near where I grew up, and hope to someday be able to buy in Yorba Linda. My step-daughter goes to Linda Vista where I went to school in the 80′s (great school). I will have to check out that farmers market sometime. Never been there.

I love Yorba Linda. I’ve lived here for over 15 years. I live on the west end and I’m walking distance to Stater Brothers, Yorba Station and Main Street.

Love it here and I will never leave
