Open letter to the City Council about the Veterans Park:
I am thrilled with the new Veteran’s Memorial at Veteran’s Park. I also love how you built a whole new building addition to house field equipment. And I can even kinda appreciate the need to re-paint the snack shack interior.
But guess what I REALLY care about? Bathrooms.
The bathrooms at Veterans Park are worse than a Russian prison. (not that I have ever been in a Russian prison, but I can imagine).
I have two boys. Who play baseball year round, and also football. Which means I spend HALF MY LIFE at Veteran’s Park. And I have been known to drive home to use the restroom- because the condition of the existing ones is barbaric. Maybe you haven’t seen it in a while. Well lucky you! I took photos. Lucky for you- these don’t capture THE SMELL. Now let me ask you. Is this a park restroom we should be proud of? Would you use this restroom? Or ask your child to use this restroom? I wonder what a health inspector would say about the toilet that leaks URINE when it is flushed, flooding the floor? I am guessing they could motivate you to fix this for your residents.
And who ever you are paying to CLEAN this restroom…you need to FIRE them immediately.
DO SOMETHING. FIX THIS RESTROOM. NOW!
