From Linda Vista PTA:
Parents of Linda Vista Elementary School.
Linda Vista will be participating in the Internation Walk to School Day, October 8th 2008. The event is simple: students, parents and school staff will walk or bike to school during the morning. We hope that all families will do their best to Walk To School. This promotes safer streets, healthier students, stronger communities, and a cleaner environment.
Please make Signs for the Walk.
Kid-made posters provide great visuals for those who see children walking to school. These can be held or place along the walk to remind drivers. Safety messages to walkes and drivers can be incorporated into signs. For example, students could make “STOP for kids” or “CAUTION: Kids Walking to School”.
If you want to walk with a group or live too far, please meet at these locations
Between 7:15am – 7:30am
Lakeview / Buena Vista or Ohio / Yorba Linda Blvd
Early Bird Give-away for the first 20 people at these locations
If you would like to volunteer to help call Wendy Williams at 714-394-0294
This event is also sponsored by:
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf
Total Woman Gym

FYI: We will be doing a “Walk to School Day” for Lakeview Elementary as well. No planned meeting spots…but get your walking shoes on and get going! Walk safe…with grown ups only!
Awesome. Thanks Marcy.
When I post the reminder next weekend I will make sure that I mention Lakeview also.
